The attacks carried out by the United States and Israel in Iran, followed by reprisals against Israel and many other countries in the region, are plunging the entire Middle East into war. Lebanon, in particular, is once again paying a heavy price, as air strikes from Israel have forced thousands of families to flee.
Since day one, our colleagues at Caritas Lebanon have once again been working alongside the affected population throughout the country. They are focusing on four priorities:
- Protecting and supporting displaced families in shelters
- Distributing basic necessities in these shelters
- Providing mattresses, blankets and pillows in these shelters
- Deploying mobile kitchens and distributing hot meals and ready-to-eat products in all areas of displacement.
